Gratitude Notebook

I was listening to a Deepak Chopra meditation the other day and one of the exercises was just to be grateful for one thing and write it down. It can be simple - a great cup of tea, the sunrise, a cozy bed, a surprise call from a good friend.

I love this idea, because I'm not always good a keeping a gratitude journal - filling a whole page sometimes feel just too overwhelming. So the idea of just writing down one thing really resonates with me.

I have started keeping a couple "tiny" notebooks near by for when I am struck by a moment of gratitude. I have one in purse, one by my desk, and one by bed so that when that moment comes I can write it down. Just a few words or a sentence, I also write the date down next to it. It a a great way to remind myself throughout the day of how much I have to be grateful for and helps keep my spirits up. It is also great to go back and read on a day when I am feeling down, it always helps brighten my mood

A thankful heart is a happy heart. Being thankful doesn't always come easy but having an attitude of gratitude can change your outlook on life and bring happiness to your heart.
